Rare find!

Annette Honeywell zipper closure compact with image of a Toreador on the top.

Annette Honeywell worked as an animator for Warner Brothers Studios as well as designing compacts onder the name Lady Vanity. This compact is from the 1930's /1940's.

"D" shaped compact has it's original powder screen but not it's puff. The zipper closure functions as it should. Annette's signature can be found on the front of the compact below the Toreador. There are twelve compacts in this series with images based on song titles.
Gold tone metal background with a spangled finish, fabric zipper with red snakeskin forming a flexible hinge. Back of compact is red with a gold spangled finish.

Rare find. Very cool history.
